Khalil Shaheen is a distinguished researcher, media expert, and political analyst known for his extensive contributions to Palestinian journalism and policy research. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Director of Research and Policy at the Palestinian Center for Policy Research and Strategic Studies - Masarat, which he co-founded.
Shaheen's career in journalism spans several decades, beginning in 1981. Over the years, he has held various roles including journalist, editor, and researcher in esteemed print media outlets and institutions across Lebanon, Syria, Cyprus, Jordan, and Palestine. Notably, he served as the executive director of both the "Ebal" Foundation for Studies and Publishing and the Jaffa Research Center in Cyprus from 1989 to 1992.
From 1995 to 2010, Shaheen held the prestigious position of chief editor at the Palestinian newspaper Al-Ayyam, where he played a significant role in shaping public discourse and disseminating information. Additionally, he served as the editor in charge of the Arabic version of "Le Monde Diplomatique" in Palestine from 2007 to 2010, further amplifying his influence in the field of media.
