Nasmeh Zanoun, a 17-year-old Palestinian student from the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, won third place globally in a programming competition held in the United States of America, beating several programmers from 20 countries around the world.
Nasmeh received the “Guccess Without Uallimited” award, from Cornell University in New York, for a patent for an electronic application, “Multitasking application,” that serves people with disabilities and writers.
She also received a travel grant from NASA in the United States, accompanied by programmers from various countries of the world, and there exploratory tours will be organized on the latest findings of the human mind in the sciences of programming and artificial intelligence.
Nasmeh received 13 courses in the field of programming from the Director of Education and Higher Education in Palestine, and with each course that was completed, she achieved an advanced rank. She applied to this competition, after completing a remote electronic course on the Internet, specialized in explaining the settings of applications with advanced artificial intelligence, and it is supervised by the university. itself.
It is noteworthy that the multi-tasking application serves three categories: the blind, the deaf, and those who love writing and poetry. In the first two, it helps them convert signs and movements into speech and vice versa, and sense the surroundings, to facilitate communication with others. It also provides inventions for stories and novels while improving the writings submitted by the writer. in a very professional way.
