In the French capital, Paris, the Palestinian student at Petra University of Jordan, Ghazal Abu Nimah, won the first prize in the “Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum” competition for the best photo of “human faces in Jerusalem.”

The photo “Peaceful Silence” taken by Abu Nimah received a reward of one thousand five hundred dollars, and it depicts an old Palestinian man carrying empty vegetable boxes on his shoulder and walking down a street in Jerusalem.

The photo participated in the “Human Faces of Jerusalem” exhibition at the Jean Monnet Center in Paris, which was dedicated to the best photo that conveys the message of the Palestinians’ struggle for justice and peace.
