A new Palestinian distinction was achieved by the young chef, George Al-Baabish, in the Turkish city of Izmir, after he won first place and a gold medal in the International Master Chef Culinary Competition, which was held in the city of Izmir.

On his account on the social networking site Facebook, George said, “From my participation and winning first place in the Master Chef International Culinary Competition in the city of Izmir... Praise be to God, all thanks to my father, the great chef Issa Baabish, for standing with me... and I thank my association, the Master Chef Association of the Levant.”

The young man, George, is active in the youth gathering of the Church of the Nativity in the city of Bethlehem. He is also an artist and member of the Nagham musical group in Bethlehem.
