Information
The Arnold P.
Gold Foundation selected the Palestinian medical student, Maryam Saadeddin, to
be a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which was established in the
United States in 2002, and awarded her an honorary award.
Maryam was
chosen based on her superiority and human sense in dealing with patients, as
she studies at the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut and
seeks to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology.
The gathering
works to include medical students, doctors and other leaders, as they are role
models in dealing with patients and providing health care to them.
The Gold
Foundation realizes that in order for a person to become a doctor, it is
necessary to enhance the concepts of humanity in him as much as science is
promoted. It also seeks to raise the human qualities of the ideal physician,
"integrity, excellence, compassion, altruism, respect, empathy, and
service."
