Osama Hassan Saad Al-Saadawi is a Palestinian engineer and entrepreneur . He served as Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Empowerment in the government of Mohammad Shtayyeh . He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering. 

Early life and education

Osama Al-Saadawi was born and educated in the camps of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip . He is originally from the village of Aqar , which was destroyed in the 1948 war . He studied civil engineering at Birzeit University and obtained a bachelor's degree from it , and later obtained a master's degree in civil engineering from the Islamic University in Gaza. 

Positions

Osama Al-Saadawi held several positions, including the position of Director General of the Palestinian Housing Council in the Gaza Strip . 

Minister of Entrepreneurship and Empowerment

Osama Al-Saadawi took the legal oath before Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as Minister of Entrepreneurship and Empowerment on April 13, 2019 in the government of Mohammad Shtayyeh and continued until March 31, 2024.
