Information
Palestinian student Omar Nassar’s love for weather and weather topics prompted him to create a manual rain gauge from available tools (a bottle of water and paste) with which he measures the amount of rain during a day.
Nassar developed himself in this field, purchasing an advanced meteorological station from Davis Company with his own money at a cost of $4,000.
The station measures atmospheric pressure, humidity, dew point, temperature, wind direction and speed, and the amount of rain... making Nassar the first owner of a meteorological station in Palestine.
Omar Nassar, a student specializing in computer information systems at Al-Quds Open University, obtained membership in the International Astronomy Center in the Emirates.
