The young Palestinian woman, Mai Tafesh, who studies the French language at Al-Aqsa University in the Gaza Strip, won first place in the young writings competition organized by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, in partnership with Radio France Internationale, at the world level.
Tafesh’s story was titled “Life’s Challenges,” and the story narrates the suffering of cancer patients and their struggle with the disease, winning the award in the Audience Award category with 2,520 votes.
Tafesh competed against 670 participants from various French-speaking universities in the world. Which has membership in the University Agency of Francophonie.
