Information
Palestinian student Raed Ammar won first place globally in the mental intelligence competition that took place in Malaysia.
Raed, from Salfit in the West Bank, competed against 3,000 contestants from 36 countries in the competition, in which Palestine won first place.
Two students, Hamad Bashar and Muhammad Hassan, also achieved advanced ranks among the first 30 contestants.
Despite the occupation and the reality imposed on the Palestinian people, it generates will and achievements that can compete with dozens of developed countries.
The Mental Intelligence Calculation Program is considered a Malaysian idea that was developed by experts from Malaysian academics. It relies on the use of a special abacus, a “wooden instrument,” and students are trained on it and represent mathematical operations on its colored beads.
