In the American capital, Washington, the Palestinian boy, Hatem Hamdouna, from the Gaza Strip, gave a speech on the importance of the education that Palestinian students receive from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees "UNRWA".
During his speech at the United Nations, Hamdouna presented the suffering experienced by the children of Gaza in light of the repeated Israeli aggression on the besieged Strip.
The Palestinian student added, "I want people to know that Gaza is more than that. And that children like me do not want to be seen as victims. While I did not choose to live under conflict and siege, I did choose to study hard every day and become a young leader." ... stressing that UNRWA education is like oxygen, it keeps us alive."
It is noteworthy that approximately 532 thousand Palestinian students are studying in UNRWA schools in Gaza, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and the West Bank.
