The Palestinian-Syrian refugee
Muhammad Ibrahim Zaidan, along with a number of analysts and researchers,
contributed to the production of a number of antiviral vaccines at the Butantan
Governmental Research Institute in Brazil, which is the largest scientific
research institution in the field of vaccines and serums in South and Central
America.
According to the Action Group for
the Palestinians of Syria, the refugee Zaidan is one of the Palestinian-Syrian
elites who made their way in the countries of exile after fleeing the war in
Syria, and recorded many successes in various fields in Europe, America and
Asia.
Zidan, whose origins go back to the
village of Jish in Safad, occupied Palestine, began his scientific career in
the schools of the Neirab camp for Palestinian refugees in Aleppo, where he
studied the elementary, preparatory and secondary stages, then studied
chemistry at the University of Aleppo, and then specialized in biochemistry,
and finished his studies with distinction. He also studied at the Alphabet
International Institute for Tourism Sciences in Aleppo.
With the beginning of the events in
Syria, he moved to Lebanon and worked as a volunteer in the Palestinian Red
Crescent Organization in Tripoli, in northern Lebanon, and because of the
miserable conditions of the Palestinians of Syria in Lebanon, he traveled to
Brazil to complete his scientific career with success and excellence.
Zidane mastered the Brazilian
language within 14 months, amended his degree at the Federal State University
of Viçosa, and in addition to studying the language, he was able to open a food
restaurant and achieved success during it, and he worked under a one-year
contract with the international American company "Baxter" specialized
in the production of medicines and ensuring their quality.
He supervised a project to connect
advanced analyzers with the United States of America and delivered the project
on time. Because of the "Corona" crisis, the restaurant was closed,
and the search for work in his field of specialization began.
Zidane ran a race with a large
number of applicants, mostly of Brazilian origin, and outperformed them, and
got a job as an analyst, microbiological and biological quality control, and a
researcher at the Butantan Governmental Research Institute.
Zidan is currently contributing to
the production of antiviral vaccines, including the vaccine against the
"Corona" virus and the cold virus, and a large number of other
vaccines against many bacterial and viral diseases at the International
Butantan Institute.
