Al-Tahta -) is a Palestinian-American entrepreneur. He ran in the 2009, Texas
state election. He founded Farouk Systems, a company specialized in hair care
products.

Relationship with Donald Trump
Al Shami described himself as
"Trump's friend of 12 years" and has a long business relationship
with Donald Trump through Miss USA/Miss Universe pageants and celebrity
coaching. It was also mentioned that Donald Trump uses a product of Farouk
Systems. In June 2015, Farouk Systems pulled advertising sponsorship of the
Miss USA pageant due to Donald Trump's anti-Latino comments, although the
company's products continued to be used by contestants at the event. In
December 2015, Farouk Systems returned as sponsor of the event.
