Thaer Fayed Al-Bawab (born 1 March 1985) is a Jordanian footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Villaviciosa de Odón. He spent most of his career in Spain and Romania.
Club career
The early years and Real Madrid
Born in Amman of Palestinian descent , Bawab's family moved to Catalonia, Spain, when he was a child. He began playing for local youth teams Cornella, and left at the age of 18 for Real Madrid , where he completed his development. He scored 30 goals in his only season with the youth team.
In 2004, Bouab signed a professional contract with Real Madrid, and the club also agreed to pay him a university scholarship. He made his debut for the third team in the Segunda División . At that time, conversations began as people compared his playing style to that of Zinedine Zidane (although they did not play in the same position); first-team coach Mariano García Remón considered promoting him to the main squad.
Barcelona, day laborer in Spain
The porter spent the 2006–07 season with Real Madrid Castilla – for whom he did not make an official appearance – and another reserve team , Barcelona B , scoring three goals for the latter as both teams suffered relegation (the former to the Segunda División , the latter to Segunda División B ). In the following three seasons, he competed in the country's third tier, where he was relegated with all the clubs – Hospitalet , Alfaro (which he joined in January 2009) and Muratalla .
Romania
The doorman signed a two-year contract with Gloria Bistrica June 2010. Midway through the season , he joined first division side Gaz Metan Medias .
On 4 August 2011, he scored two goals against Mainz 05 in the final qualifying round of the Europa League , a goal in each match, and on 26 September, he added two more goals against Târgu Mures .
In September 2014, he moved to Universitatea Craiova in the Romanian first division, and remained in the country representing Steaua Bucharest, Dinamo Bucharest , Concordia Chiajna and Dunarea Calarati.
Qatar
He played in the Qatar Stars League for Umm Salal for a short period, then returned to the Romanian league with Dinamo Bucharest in the 2016-17 season.
international career
Bawab made his international debut for Jordan in a friendly match against Norway on January 28, 2005, which ended in a 0–0 draw. He made six appearances for the team in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers , scoring one goal.
