Sheikh Abdul Fattah Yusuf Hijjawi was born in Nablus and received his basic education there. He then went to Al-Azhar to study Islamic law. He graduated from Al-Azhar and worked as an imam and teacher for a mosque in the Al-Rashadiyah School. He also engaged in the book trade. He died in Nablus in 1944. Darwazah described him as, “From the Hijjawi family was Sheikh Abdul Fattah, and he was a righteous man with good knowledge. He had a shop in Bab Al-Saraya in which he sold books, stamps, and stationery.”
