Dr. Nabil Hani Al-Qaddumi is the founder and chairman of the board of directors of Septco International Petroleum, an energy company. He is also the founder and former chairman of the board of directors of Projacs International, a leading engineering project management company in the Arabian Gulf region. He is also active in philanthropy, having established the Hani Al-Qaddumi Scholarship Foundation with his family in 2001 to provide scholarships for outstanding Palestinian students. He is the vice chairman of the board of directors of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, a member of the board of trustees of the Institute for Palestine Studies, and the Palestinian governor at the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development from 2008 to 2014. He also served as chairman of the board of trustees of the Welfare Association during 2008, among other activities. He received his undergraduate education at the American University of Beirut and in the United States, where he earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree from Stanford University, and a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, all in civil engineering. He has worked as a lecturer at the College of Engineering, Kuwait University, and as a visiting lecturer at Stanford University.
