Born in Jerusalem on 11 Oct. 1960; graduated from the Fréres College in Jerusalem; received a BA in Business Administration from Birzeit University in 1982; is a member of the Council for Higher Education and served as Director of its Administrative and Financial Dept. from 1982-89, as Deputy Director from 1989-93, and as Dir.-Gen. from 1993-96; worked part-time in the European-Palestinian Cooperation Program from 1992-96; was Manager of the Al-Dajani Tourist Agency from Jan. 1997-May 2005; taught at Bethlehem University; serves as Board member of the Arab Constructive Project in Jericho since Jan. 2002 and the JET Transportation Co. since 1 May 2005; was elected Director of the Jerusalem District Electricity Company on 1 May 2005.
