Youssef Muhammad Tafesh (born 1938 in Safed) is a Palestinian poet. He studied elementary school in Aleppo. He worked as a teacher in Syria and Algeria. He retired from education in 1992. He is a member of the Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists, and the Union of Arab Writers. He wrote poetry in magazines and newspapers and has poetry collections and plays. His daughter is actress Nasreen Tafesh.

his biography
Youssef Muhammad Tafesh was born in 1938 in the city of Safad in Mandatory Palestine and grew up there first and then in Aleppo, where he received his primary, preparatory and secondary studies, and the eligibility for education. He has lived there since 1948, ie after the Nakba.
He traveled to Algeria as part of a Syrian educational mission to contribute to the Arabization campaign, then returned to Syria, where he worked as a teacher of music education. He resigned from his teaching profession in 1992.
He is a member of the Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists and the Union of Arab Writers in Damascus, and head of the cultural office in the Arab Youth Club for Literature and Arts.

He married an Algerian from Oran, and their daughter is actress Nisreen Tafesh.
