The young Palestinian woman, Souad Kahil, designs beautiful Ramadan lanterns from recycled materials.

Palestinian designer Suad Kahil (26 years old) produces Ramadan lanterns for children at affordable prices because she makes them from recycled materials.

In light of the difficult economic situation in the Gaza Strip, Souad decided to work on this initiative and sell lanterns to children in the Gaza Strip to cheer them up with the advent of the month of Ramadan.

Lanterns produced in Kahil’s workshop are sold for between 10 and 30 shekels (about 3-8 dollars).

Suad Kahil's lanterns are in demand among the people of Gaza for two reasons: the first is the quality of their production, and the second is their low price.
