Jamil Arafat (BC. 1933 - January 28, 2022) is a Palestinian writer and historian interested in Palestinian history. At the beginning of his career he worked as a teacher and later as a director, and after his retirement, he published nearly 20 books, most of them on Palestinian history and the abandoned villages that turned into a source for learning about the history and plight of Palestine.
There are many educational books, some of which are taught in Arab schools, including: the map and the natural area, oil and olives, the United States, the Soviet Union, Japan, and also books translated into Hebrew, including Western Europe, India, neighbors, and the land of Israel.
As for the historical books, among them are: Paths in the Galilee and the Golan, Nazareth is my city, from our displaced villages in the Galilee, the villages and clans of the Baysan district, the cities and villages of Carmel, the displaced villages in the northern borders, the landmarks of the road from Jerusalem to the ancient house in partnership with Khaled Azayza, joint desecration of sacred sites With the Human Rights Foundation and others.
He died on Friday, Jumada II 25, 1443 AH, corresponding to January 28, 2022 AD, at the age of 89.
