Born in Safed 1937, finished his primary education in Safed. After 1948 (Nakba), his family emigrated to Damascus where he finished his secondary education; he then joined Damascus University and studied Law; after his graduation he worked as a teacher; one of the founders of the General Union of Palestinian Students; elected as a member of the Palestinian National Union 1958, member of the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists.
