Rajab Abu Saryyeh was born in Gaza 1956, migrated with his family to Jordan in 1968; received his BA in Business Administration from Helwan University, Cairo 1979. He started writing in 1980, published his articles and stories in the Jordanian and Arabic newspapers; chief-editor of (Al Shabiba) magazine from 1991-1994; culture-editor of the weekly magazine (Al-Hadaf) 1991-1994, he was exiled from Jordan in 1986 and resided in Syria; he then returned home after 1994.
