Salman Farraj was born in Rameh in 1941. He received his elementary and secondary education in Al-Rameh Schools; he then joined Dar al-Mu'almen in Jaffa; graduated in 1962. Salem obtained a BA in Arabic language, Arabic Literature and the Middle East History from the University of Haifa; MA in Arabic Literature. He has been working as a teacher since 1964, then as an assistant professor ; member of the Arab Writers Union; a former member of the Palestinian Writers Union. He has published many of his poetry, short stories and articles in the local newspapers and magazines.
