Biography
He studied sociology, anthropology, and political science at Tel Aviv University. He lived in Jaffa, then Acre and Haifa, and works as the director of the Arab Culture Association in Haifa. He also worked as an editor for the weekly newspaper "Fasl al-Maqal." He writes from within the homes of historic cities, capturing the forgotten details of life for people marginalized by headlines, due to historical circumstances and the ongoing Nakba. His first novel, "Bardaqana," was completed as part of the second session of the Najwa Barakat Workshop (Spring 2013-Spring 2014), held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He edited the magazine "Qadaya Jam'iya" (Society Issues) between 2007 and 2010, and the book "Culture, Identity, and Vision," published by the Al-Aswar Foundation in Acre in 2006. He has written several plays and a screenplay for a short film titled "Ya Ana Ya Haifa" (Either Me or Haifa).
