Wael Abu Yabes: A Palestinian visual artist from the village of Al-Qabu, Jerusalem district. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Al-Quds University. He won first place in the Arab Youth Biennale in Qatar as part of the Doha Capital of Arab Culture events for the year 2010 for his work "Ashes." He won second place for best work on mental health in 2011 for his work "I See Hope as Long as My Heart Beats." He won fourth place in the Water Authority competition in Palestine.
