Ibrahim Abu Al-Rub is a Palestinian visual artist (born in Jerusalem in 1949). He received his BA in Fine Arts from Cairo in 1976, his MA in 1982, and his PhD in Fine Arts from Cairo in 1987. He worked at the Faculty of Education, University of Jordan (1980-1985), and worked as a teacher in Kuwait for the Art Education course (Public Authority for Applied Education and Training). He worked as an assistant professor at Petra University in 1995.
He held ten solo exhibitions, and participated in many group exhibitions in Cairo and Amman . He won the State Appreciation Award in Jordan in 1995, jointly with another artist. Ibrahim Abu al-Rub's style is characterized by surrealism, expressionism and symbolism . His subject matter focuses on the daily Palestinian concern, in an epic language emphasizing red and blue, in addition to black and white. Ibrahim Abu al-Rub has completed a group of murals.
