Информация
Abdul Rahman Al-Muzain (born 1943) is a Palestinian visual artist, head of the General Union of Palestinian Artists, a retired brigadier general in the Palestinian National Security Forces, holds a PhD in Canaanite history and has several books on Canaanite.
His works focused on two styles, the first oil on canvas and the second "graphics" ink on paper. The works ranged between realism and symbolism.
He is an important central figure in Palestinian art during the revolution period (1964-1994). His artworks in the first phase of his career were characterized by recording and many details, but in the last phase, there appears to be development in his works, as the background of the painting is characterized by more study and attention, so that it seems to embody newly developed decorative formulas, closely and fundamentally related to the artist’s concept of the painting, after it was perhaps an attempt discovered through the work.
After the mid-seventies, he became aware of the Canaanite spirit as an element of Palestinian identity. His paintings are decorative and lyrical, carrying a high emotional charge expressed through rural colors, controlling the color tone. He has played an important role in research since the early eighties into the depths of Canaanite and Palestinian heritage in the field of historical and archaeological research, in addition to his oil and graphic paintings. Since the early eighties, he has been interested in decorative color murals.
