A Palestinian writer, born in 1957 in Jabal al-Mukabber in Jerusalem. He holds a BA in Arabic Language and a Diploma in Education from Bethlehem University, and a Master’s in Children’s Literature from Al-Quds University. Jawhar worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts for Girls at Al-Quds University, and began writing at an early age, where local newspapers published his works while he was in high school. Among his published works are: “The Arrogant Rooster”, “The Land in the Palestinian Short Story”, “Travel Ticket”, “Culture and the Intifada”, “The Secret of the Ghoul”, “Suad’s Moon”, “Safaa Also Asks”, “Values in Palestinian Children’s Literature and Characteristics”, “The Daisy of the Soul – Jerusalemite Diaries”, “People of the Mountain”, “Innocence”, and other works.

He is one of the main founders of the weekly cultural symposium, the Seventh Day, held at the Palestinian National Theater in Jerusalem, which has been ongoing since 1991 until now.
