Yousef Munayyer is a Palestinian- American writer and political analyst based in the United States . He is the executive director of the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights. He previously served as director of the Jerusalem Education and Community Development Fund.  He was also a policy analyst at the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. 

Early life and education

Munir was born in occupied Palestine,  and spent most of his early life in New Jersey. 

Munir holds a BA in political science and history from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst , and five undergraduate degrees in international relations from Mount Holyoke College .  He also holds a Ph.D. in government and politics from the University of Maryland .

personal life

He is married to a Palestinian woman from the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank . They met in Massachusetts when they attended nearby colleges. They both live outside Washington .
