Mahmoud Naim Abbas is a Palestinian cartoonist born in the Al-Wahdat Palestinian refugee camp in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on June 6, 1986. His origins go back to the village of Hamama in southern Palestine . He is a member of the Swedish Journalists Association , the International Federation of Journalists , and Cartoon Network International and won the honorary award World Humor Awards- Portugal 2021.

Education
He studied primary school in UNRWA schools in Al-Wahdat camp in Jordan, then completed his preparatory and secondary school studies in UNRWA schools in the Gaza Strip . He joined Al-Azhar University and obtained a bachelor's degree in design and montage.
Work
Mahmoud Abbas has had a talent for drawing since childhood, and became famous during the Al-Aqsa Intifada for drawing anti-Israeli occupation paintings on the walls of the camps and cities of the Gaza Strip. In 2007 and 2008, the Israeli army killed his father, Naim, and his two brothers, Hussein and Mustafa, which prompted him to start drawing cartoons , where he initially found a way to express loss, and then proceeded to draw thousands of paintings related to national occasions or events, and interacted with various issues in the region such as the conflict in Syria , Yemen and Iraq, and normalization with Israel . Abbas's drawings are widely circulated on social media and prestigious media outlets.
Harassment
Cartoonist Mahmoud Abbas was subjected to smear campaigns, death threats, and labeling as a terrorist by several parties because of his drawings , and was excluded from art exhibitions because of his drawings, which usually contain criticism of official bodies.
