Zaki al-Ghoul (1926 in Silwan, Jerusalem - April 28, 2019 in Amman ) is a Palestinian politician and historian from the merchants of the cities of Jerusalem and Amman. He served as Secretary of the Jerusalem Municipality until his death.
His life
Zaki Ali Khader al-Ghoul was born in 1926 in the town of Silwan , southeast of Jerusalem . He is considered a political figure and historian. He is a merchant in the cities of Jerusalem and Amman. He also served as a member of the administrative body of the Al-Maqasid Charitable Society in Jerusalem.
Hajj Zaki was a member of the Jerusalem Secretariat , which was formed in 1963 and was banned by the occupation in 1967. After the death of Dr. Amin Al-Majj , Secretary of Jerusalem, the Palestine Liberation Organization decided to appoint Zaki Al-Ghoul as Secretary of Jerusalem in Jordan in 1999 to preserve the Arab-Islamic representation of the Secretariat and to keep the issue of Jerusalem alive in minds. The Mayor of the City of Jerusalem played a moral role in the Secretariat from Amman , and represented Jerusalem in the meetings of the Arab municipalities and the municipalities of South Africa and America , and also represented it in the Arab and regional conferences. He was honored by Jordanian King Hussein bin Talal .

Hajj Zaki Al-Ghoul died in the Jordanian capital, Amman, at the age of 93, and his body was buried in Sahab Cemetery .
