Riyad Seif, whose full name at birth was Riyad Odeh Abd al-Qadir Jamous (January 4, 1949 in Tulkarem), is a Palestinian screenwriter, playwright, and poet. He holds Jordanian nationality. He wrote more than 40 television series, most notably the series The Invasion and the Falcon Wedding series, and he has books for children and many plays. 2008 Global Emmy Award Winner.

Riyad Odeh Abdul Qadir Jamous was born in Tulkarm on January 4, 1942. He graduated from high school in Zarqa, Jordan in 1968, and obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Jordan in 1972. He worked as an accountant in the Labor Secretariat from 1973 until 1979 in Libya, then continued his work in Jordan, then an auditor in the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Industries in Amman from 1979 to 1995. He also worked as a director of Al-Istiklal TV in Ramallah from 2000 to 2010. He is a member of the Jordanian Writers Association.

He has written more than 40 television series, the most famous of which are Bitter Dirt, The Falcon's Wedding, Al-Ightiyaha, and Jerusalem Gate.
