Lina Courtney Makhoul, better known
as Lina Makhoul (Hebrew: לינא מח'ול; born July 11, 1993) is a Palestinian-Israeli singer and
songwriter who won The Voice Israel in its second season in 2012.
Curriculum
Lina was born on July 11, 1993 in
Toledo, USA, to Christian Arab parents, and grew up in Acre, Palestine. She has
been attached to dancing, singing and playing the piano since the age of four.
Lina speaks 5 languages fluently and is considered the first Arab to win The
Voice Israel, which depends on the public vote.

During the auditions for the second
season of The Voice in late 2012, Lina performed the song "Empire State of
Mind" by Alicia Keys, and joined the Shulmi Shabat team after the four
coaches turned to him. During the program, she sang the Arabic version of the song
"Dead Leaves" (French: Les Feuilles mortes). ), which was sung by
Fayrouz for the first time.This copycat song achieved 250,000 views on YouTube
in just 3 days.
On March 23, 2013, she won the title
of the program during the closing ceremony that was held in "Nokia
Square" in the capital, Tel Aviv, after obtaining 62% of the votes, and
she performed the song "Flashdance... What a Feeling" from the movie
FlashDance. Plus "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. After the program, she
was adopted by the Israeli producer, Irit Tinhengl, and signed a contract with
her for his company, Yoda Productions.
In September 2017, Lena stated that
she is a fan of Little Mix, and confirmed that she will attend all of their UK
and Ireland tour between October and November 2017.
