Youssef Mahmoud Salama (1987-) Palestinian and professor from Salfit, an expert professor at An-Najah National University, and the Palestinian ambassador in Tokyo in the field of medicine. He served as Director of An-Najah Center for Cancer and Stem Cell Research at An-Najah National University and is a Palestinian researcher rising internationally.

 

His origins and educational attainment

Youssef Salameh was born in Salfit, Palestine, in Bidya, west of Nablus. He received his basic, preparatory and secondary education in its schools and moved to An-Najah National University, and graduated from the Department of Biotechnology at the Faculty of Science at An-Najah National University in 2009.  He obtained a bachelor's degree in Biology and Biotechnology, and then moved to Japan to complete my degree. Masters and PhD degrees from the Institute of Medical Sciences at the University of Tokyo - Japan. He supervised many foreign students at the same university in the post-doctoral period at the Institute of Medical Sciences. The supervisor of the University of Tokyo, and has a role in fighting the Corona virus.

Youssef Mahmoud Salama, is the director of the An-Najah Center for Cancer and Stem Cell Research at An-Najah National University  and is one of the first Palestinian centers in this field, in addition to his activity in the field of cancer and stem cells where he published more than 10 research papers in this specialty in Masters and PhD periods, and obtained a patent and established a therapeutic program to reduce the growth of cancer cells and published many research papers in major medical journals in Japan and the world .
