Overview
Born in Jerusalem on 17th October, 1965, Mr. Majdi Zughaier is a businessman, social
entrepreneur and philanthropist who puts socio-economic impact and empowerment at the
heart of his commercial and social activities. Mr. Zughaier has also been the Honorary Consul
of Malaysia to Palestine since 2022.
Mr. Zughaier has made a successful career in the Palestinian economy as Executive Chairman
and Founder of Zughaier Investment Group which is a family-owned investment firm that
creates and invests in companies that operate in high-impact economic sectors including textile
& apparel, real estate, hospitality, tourism and consumer brands, among many others. The
group’s portfolio consists of companies that aim to drive local innovation and competitiveness
and contribute to the process of local economic development.
In addition to his economic roles, Mr. Zughaier is also very active in civil society and charitable
organizations that focus on supporting and empowering the steadfastness and resilience of the
people living in East Jerusalem and other Palestinian Arab cities and towns.
