Dr. Imad was born in Nablus on 12/10/1962. He studied primary school at Ibn Qutaybah School and completed secondary school in the science branch at Qadri Touqan Secondary School in 1980. He then joined the Russian Academy of Sports Culture and obtained a master’s degree in physical education, specializing in gymnastics, in 1986. He then obtained a doctorate in sports training theories from the same academy in 1989.
Dr. Imad worked as a teacher and director of sports activities at the Arab Diplomatic School in Moscow until 1996. After that, he returned to his homeland and worked as an assistant professor of physical education in the Department of Physical Education in the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at An-Najah National University. In 2001, he obtained the rank of associate professor, and in 2008, he obtained the rank of professor.
Dr. Imad published more than seventy research papers in local, Arab and international scientific journals, and participated in writing the curricula of physical education in the Palestinian Ministry of Education in the year (1999-2005), and participated in a number of sports conferences in Arab countries, and was a member of a large number of committees, including the Research and Studies Committee in the Faculty of Educational Sciences, the Scientific Research Committee, the An-Najah Award Committee for Scientific Research, a member of the Promotions Committee at An-Najah National University, a member of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Sports Court, a member of the Executive Council of the Palestinian Football Association, and a coordinator of the PhD program in Sports Sciences.
Prof. Dr. Imad Abdel Haq supervised and discussed more than (100) master's theses in physical education and held several positions, including Head of the Department of Physical Education (2001-2003), (2014-2018), and Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education (2009-2011). He is still working at the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences/Department of Physical Sciences.
