Othman Al-Takrouri ( Abu Saleh , August 12, 1943 - December 22 , 2020 ) was a Palestinian lawyer and university professor . He was a judge in the Palestinian Supreme Court and is considered one of the most prominent figures in law in Palestine. He was a professor of law at the Faculty of Law at Hebron University and a number of other Palestinian universities. He also authored a number of books and research papers on law.
His life
Othman Saleh Othman Al-Takrouri was born in the city of Hebron on August 12, 1943. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ain Shams University between 1962 and 1966, then obtained a Master’s degree in International and Private Law from the same university between 1969 and 1971, and a PhD in Commercial Law from the same university between December 1979 and November 1982.
Othman worked as a legal and regulatory lawyer in the city of Hebron, and worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Commerce at Birzeit University, the Faculty of Sharia, the Faculty of Management and Finance at Hebron University , the Faculty of Law at Al-Quds University, and the Faculty of Business Administration at Bethlehem University . He also worked as a judge in the Palestinian Supreme Judicial Council , and was an assistant professor at the Palestinian Judicial Institute of the Palestinian Ministry of Justice and at the College of Graduate Studies at the Ahliya University in Bethlehem . He worked as Acting President of Hebron University from May 1987 to August 1988 , then became Dean of Student Affairs from 1992 to 1994. He was a member of the University Graduates Association Council and Secretary of the Council for two terms 1976-1980 and participated in the founding of the Polytechnic Institute, which later became Palestine Polytechnic University .

His death
He died in the city of Hebron on December 22, 2020 AD, corresponding to Jumada al-Ula 7, 1442 AH, at the age of 77.
