Dr. Ibrahim Alzuheir is the Assistant professor of Infectious diseases and veterinary virology at the Department of Veterinary Medicine at An Najah National University, Palestine. He graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, completed his Masters of Science in Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology in January 2007. After receiving his master’s education, Dr. Alzuheir joined the staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at An Najah National University to teach veterinary physiology, pharmacology, and biochemistry.
In November 2013, Dr. Alzuheir earned an Erasmus Mundus Ph.D. scholarship at the Institute of Virology. Department of Veterinary Medicine at the Freie Universität Berlin. He did his Ph.D. project on recombinant Marek`s Disease viruses, completed his Ph.D. in August 20016, and published his work in Frontier virology Journal. Dr. Alzuheir has also published on various topics in veterinary medicine. During his career, he has supervised many graduate projects related to veterinary and animal sciences. In addition, he is an active member of many scientific and preparatory professional committees.
Dr. Alzuheir motivation for conducting scientific work in the molecular characterization of animal and zoonotic viral disease. His work leads to the reporting and description of many infectious diseases in Palestine.
