Mohammad Ghazal was a former academic and served as an Assistant Professor. He earned his Ph.D. in Soil and Foundations from Penn State University in the United States, with his dissertation titled "Soil Improvement." He studied there from 1986 to 1992. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering from the Civil Engineering Institute in Russia, where his thesis was on "Design and Construction of a School," between 1976 and 1981.

In his professional career, Mohammad Ghazal worked as a lecturer at An-Najah National University in Palestine from July 15, 1981, to June 7, 2020. He then briefly worked as a lecturer at Penn State University in the United States on June 7, 2020.
