Nasser Ibrahim Ahmed Abu Al-Nour (May 22, 1964 – February 21, 2024) is a Palestinian nurse who worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Nursing at the Islamic University of Gaza , and was its dean.
His biography
Nasser Ibrahim Ahmed Abu Al-Nour was born in the Al-Janina neighborhood in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on May 22, 1964. He studied elementary and secondary school in the schools of Rafah. He joined the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Quds University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1996. He obtained a Master's degree in Nursing Administration from Marquette University during the period from 1997 to 1998. He obtained a PhD in Health Care Policies from the University of Akron during the period from 2006 to August 2010.
Nasser Abu Al-Nour worked as a general nurse and then a senior nurse in different departments at the Arab National Hospital from April 1990 until August 1997. He started working at the Faculty of Nursing at the Islamic University of Gaza as a clinical lecturer starting in September 1996. During his tenure at the Faculty of Nursing, he held several positions and was a member of several committees, specifically:
Chairman of the Planning Committee from September 2012 to September 2014.
Chairman of the Quality Improvement Committee from September 2011 to September 2012.
Head of Clinical Practice Department from September 2010 to August 2011.
He, his wife and children were assassinated on February 21, 2024, during an Israeli airstrike on his home in the Al-Janina neighborhood of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, during the Israeli response to Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa.
