Riyad Ali Al-Aila (1952-) is a Palestinian translator and academic . He was born in Jabalia and received his primary and secondary education in UNRWA schools there and obtained his secondary education from Al-Falujah School in 1971. He obtained a BA in Political Science from the Central University of Madrid in Spain in 1978, a Master's degree in 1980 and a PhD in 1983 in the same specialization and university with a thesis "The Political and Social Development of Palestinian Refugees in the Gaza Strip (1948-1980)". He also obtained a Master's degree in Administrative Development from the University of Granada in 2000.
His career
Riyad Ali Al-Aila worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Commerce, Head of the History Department at the Faculty of Arts and the Scientific Research Department at the Islamic University , Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Al-Azhar University in 1992, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Head of the Political Science Department at Al-Azhar University in Gaza before its destruction by the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, in which the Israeli army deliberately targeted educational centers and institutions and destroyed their infrastructure. He served as Director of the Al-Quds Open University branch in the period between (1992-1994) and (2001-2003).
Dr. Riad was a member of several institutions and associations:
Member of the Spanish Social Sciences Association and the International Social Sciences Association in 1985.
Member of the Arab Political Science Association in Cairo .
Member of the Editorial Board of Al-Quds Open University Journal for Research and Studies.
Member of the Arab Sociological Association in Beirut in 2004.
Member of the Arab Association of Arab Translators in Belgium in 2004.
Head of the Charitable Family Care Association in Palestine and Head of the Palestinian-Spanish Friendship Association in Palestine in 1995.
President of the Palestinian Thought Forum Association in 1995.
Director of the Middle East Center for Applied Surveys and Research ( Bisan ), Gaza, 2001.
Political Expert for the Arab Women Organization in Cairo in 2005.

Al-Amleh contributed to the translation of many books and research papers, in addition to his authorship of a group of political books:
