Professor Dr. Salah Hussein Al-Hudalya is a professor of archaeology and cultural heritage at the Higher Institute of Antiquities. Al-Hudalya graduated from Birzeit University in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, and Sociology. He obtained his Master's degree in Bronze Age Archaeology from Yarmouk University in 1992, and his Ph.D. in Prehistoric and Early Historical Archaeology from Heidelberg University in Germany in 1999.
Al-Hudalya joined Al-Quds University in 2000 and has chaired the Department of Antiquities and the Higher Institute of Antiquities for three terms. He has also served on various committees within the Faculty of Arts and at the university level. Additionally, he is a member of several editorial boards of specialized international journals and serves on the advisory council for the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
In recent years, Al-Hudalya has conducted numerous archaeological excavations and restoration projects at various archaeological sites, including Khirbet al-Tireh, Khirbet al-Louz, and Khirbet Shuweika. He has authored many research papers and books published in international journals and peer-reviewed publishing houses.
