A Palestinian actor and director who excelled in cinema, theater, and television programs, he was born on November 1, 1950 in the village of Ba'ana, Acre District, to a peasant family. However, after Israel confiscated the village's lands in 1963, his farming life in the village ended and he moved to work in construction. He loved acting and imitating at an early age, and began imitating and acting in front of his family and teachers at school. After completing his secondary education, Salim enrolled at the Beit Zvi Higher Institute of Drama in Ramat Gan. One of his most notable roles is that of Abu Nidal in the TV series Arab Labor (2007). He also appeared in the films Oslo (2021), Gaza Mon Amour (2020), and Les hirondelles ne meurent pas à Jerusalem (1994).
