Abdel Jawad Saleh (born December 5, 1931 ) is a Palestinian politician and member of the Executive Committee of the PLO (1974-1982). He served as mayor of Al-Bireh before being deported by the Israeli occupation authorities for more than twenty years. He was the first Minister of Agriculture in the Palestinian National Authority and an elected member of the Palestinian Legislative Council . He is considered one of the well-known Palestinian national figures who is highly respected in the Palestinian street.
