Ismail Hassan Issa Abu Jabr, known as Hajj Ismail and Ismail Jabr, is a Palestinian military born to a family from Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip on February 12, 1943. He was the commander of the joint forces in southern Lebanon during the 1982 Lebanon War. He also served as the commander of the Palestinian National Security Forces in the West Bank. Gharbia between 1994 and 2005, and he is currently the assistant commander in chief of the security forces, and advisor to the Palestinian president for governorate affairs, and has been a member of the Fatah movement’s central committee since 2016.
practical life
In 2006, he was appointed commander-in-chief of all Palestinian security services.
On 10 April 2008, he was granted the status of Minister.

He was appointed as a member of the committee to restructure the Department of Political and National Orientation and evaluate its past work and future role.
Appointed as a member of the committee to study the security plan submitted by the Security Reform Team.
On December 1, 2009, he was appointed advisor to the President of the Palestinian National Authority for governorate affairs.
