Zaki Al-Ghoul (1926 in Silwan, Jerusalem - 28 April 2019 in Amman) is a Palestinian politician and historian from the merchants of Jerusalem and Amman, he served as the Secretary of the Jerusalem Municipality until his death.
Zaki Ali Khader al-Ghoul was born in 1926 in the town of Silwan, southeast of Jerusalem. He is considered a political figure and a historian. He is one of the merchants of the cities of Jerusalem and Amman. He also served as a member of the administrative board of the Makassed Charitable Association in Jerusalem.
Hajj Zaki was a member of the Jerusalem secretariat, which was formed in 1963 and prevented by the occupation in 1967. After the death of Dr. Amin Majjaj, Mayor of Jerusalem, the Palestine Liberation Organization decided to appoint Zaki al-Ghoul as mayor of Jerusalem in Jordan in 1999 to preserve the Arab-Islamic representation of the secretariat to keep the issue of Jerusalem alive in the minds. The mayor of the city of Jerusalem exercised a moral role in the secretariat starting from Amman, and represented Jerusalem in the meeting of Arab municipalities and the municipalities of South Africa and America, as well as in Arab and regional conferences. Honored by Jordan's King Hussein bin Talal.
Hajj Zaki Al-Ghoul died in the Jordanian capital, Amman, at the age of 93, and his body was buried in Sahab Cemetery.
