Farouk al-Qasrawi: A Jordanian diplomat and politician of Palestinian origin from the village of Qusra in the Nablus district. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the American University of Beirut (1962), a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of London (1976), and a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from George Washington University (1980). He served as Director of the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute and as Ambassador to Japan and Germany. He was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan on April 7, 2005, when the new government was formed. He later served as a personal envoy to King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, then as Director of the King's Personal Office, and subsequently as a personal advisor
