Montaser Fouad Abdel Rahman Abu Zeid (born January 27, 1955 in Qabatiya ) is a Palestinian diplomat who served as the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Nigeria between 2012 and 2015. Since presenting his credentials on August 7, 2015, he has served as the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Kazakhstan .
Political life
Abu Zeid joined the Fatah movement in the early 1970s, and in 1973 he was arrested on charges of belonging to it. He left the West Bank for Lebanon , where he joined the Palestinian revolutionary forces in 1975, and participated in repelling the Israeli invasion of Beirut in 1982. In 1984, he was appointed Secretary of the Fatah movement in the Ukrainian region , and representative of the occupied land apparatus to the Soviet Union . He obtained a master's degree in international relations in 1987 from Kiev State University.
Diplomatic life
In 1988, he was appointed Deputy Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Kenya . In 1990, he was appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the Palestinian Embassy in Albania . In 1991, he was appointed Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Greece , and continued for 12 years.
In 2002, he was appointed Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Belarus and continued until September 2010. In 2012, he was appointed Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Nigeria and continued until 2015. In 2015, he was appointed Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Kazakhstan , and on August 7, 2015, he presented his credentials and remains in office.
