Safaa Nasser Al-Din was appointed Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the Government of the West Bank in 2012 in Palestine . She is considered the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Communications in the Arab world.
Her upbringing and educational attainment
Born in Palestine, Jerusalem, on May 5, 1969, and a graduate of the Schmidt School , she completed her university studies at Al-Quds University in Abu Dis , obtained a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, and was appointed as a teaching assistant at Al-Quds University. She completed her postgraduate studies in France with the same specialty, and obtained a master's and doctorate degrees. She worked at the Wajdi Abu Ghraibah Technological Institute as dean and director of the institute. She worked as an advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and an advisor to several official institutions. In 2010, she worked at Al-Quds University as Dean of Hind Al-Husseini Girls College. On May 16, 2012, she was appointed Minister of Communications and Information Technology in Palestine, and she is considered the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Communications in the Arab world.

9/5/2013 The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Safaa Nasser Al-Din announced the start of construction of the international mail exchange center.
Adoption of the “Zanar” interchange framework as a reference document in all ministries and government institutions by the Council of Ministers, and the formation of the Zanar National Team led by the Ministry of Communications and a number of other ministries.
Issuing the first revenue stamp in the name of the State of Palestine.
