She witnessed the war but she stayed in Nablus with her family and did not become part of the Diaspora as she preferred to stay in her home town.
She looked forward for different means by which to serve her community. This is what gave her the impetuous to establish Hawwa Center for Arts and Culture in 1994 which plays an important role in raising the cultural atmosphere in the city. She worked hard to improve the position and situation of Palestinian woman in the cultural, social and political aspects of society. Ghada has been a member of the Palestinian National Council since 1996 and a member of the Zakat committee in Nablus.
