Yasser Salah, a network member, is a highly accomplished lawyer and researcher with extensive experience in human rights advocacy. Holding a master's degree in democracy and human rights from Birzeit University, Yasser has been practicing law since 2004. He serves as a member and legal and human rights advisor in Palestinian institutions dedicated to human rights. Currently, he works as a lawyer and researcher at the Independent Commission for Human Rights, a position he has held since 2009. Yasser is actively involved in local and international campaigns advocating for human rights issues and has participated in numerous conferences and workshops focusing on human rights.
He has also contributed his expertise to the Palestinian Elections Commission and engaged in international monitoring activities, including with the Carter Center during the Tunisian elections in 2011 and the Egyptian presidential elections in 2012. Additionally, Yasser is a prolific writer, authoring various research articles on legal and political matters. He is also a skilled trainer in human rights issues, public freedoms, and legislation.
